Attached are the KMWA Election Procedures, Rules of Election, and the Nomination Form for the Trustee elections.

Key Dates

Election Day: Sunday 17 May 2026 (12:00–17:00)

Six‑Month Membership Cutoff: Monday 17 November 2025
Membership must have been active and paid on or before this date.

Deadline for Trustee Approval of Pending Applications: Saturday 9 May 2026

Election Surgery (for online membership support):
Friday 8 May — Asr to Maghrib
Saturday 9 May — Zuhr to Maghrib
Nomination Deadline: Sunday 10 May 2026 (Maghrib)

Election Register Display: Monday 11 May 2026
Note: Although normally displayed 14 days prior (per Clause 2.2.1(d)), this year’s register will be delayed due to ongoing work converting members to the online system.

I am pleased to announce we have received Nine nominations for the position of four trustees in the KMWA May 2026 elections. Interviews will be held by KMWA management to understand how new trustees work together with the existing board of trustees.

Allāh ﷻ says in the Noble Qur’ān:

“Indeed, Allāh commands you to render trusts to whom they are due, and when you judge between people, to judge with justice.” — Sūrah al-Nisā’ (4:58)

In keeping with this divine command, the KMWA Board of Trustees has set out the following rules and procedures to ensure that the Trustee Election on Sunday, 17th May 2026 is conducted with transparency, fairness, and integrity, in shā’Allāh.

These guidelines cover eligibility to vote, the nomination process, and conduct on election day. We kindly ask all members – whether standing as candidates, voting, or simply attending – to read them carefully so that the process runs smoothly and reflects the values of our community.

May Allāh ﷻ guide our affairs, bless this election, and grant success to those who will best serve His house and His servants. Āmīn.

We are pleased to announce that nominations for the KMWA Board of Trustees elections are now officially open, in shā’Allāh. Four Trustee positions will be elected by the membership at the upcoming Annual General Meeting on Sunday, 17th May 2026.

Serving as a Trustee is both an amānah (sacred trust) and a profound opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of the masjid, the welfare of our community, and the legacy we leave behind for the next generation, in shā’Allāh.

If you feel called to serve – or know someone in our community who would serve with sincerity, wisdom, and dedication – we warmly invite you to come forward.
