Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wo barakatuhu.
All praises belong to Allah al Rahman ir Raheem and peace and blessings be on the Prophet Muhammad.
Until further notice the 5 daily Prayers and Salaat- ul – Jummah and all other activities will be suspended after Salaat-ul- Isha on Thursday 19th March 2020.
This sad decision has been taken unanimously by the Board of Trustees and the Imams after much discussion amongst ourselves and consultation with our Brothers across Kent and SE London.
We cannot ignore the advice of the Government, Chief Medical Officer, Muslim Council of Britain, British Islamic Medical Association and the British Board of Scholars and Imams.
We have decided that it would be irresponsible not to protect our community and the public from the coronavirus pandemic. The virus is highly contagious, is life threatening (especially to the elderly), and symptoms are not obvious for a number of days giving an opportunity for the virus to spread to individuals and families.
We will monitor the situation on a daily basis and we pray for the mercy of and forgiveness from Allah for our communities and all those affected. We are currently setting up a network of volunteers to help the vulnerable and isolated members of the community at this time. Please help us to help them by joining the volunteers or providing us with details of people who may need help.
May Allah protect us and reward our patience in times of adversity.
