Annual General Meeting 2023: Report from the Youth Hubb KMWA youth Coordinator at Gillingham Mosque

Youth Hubb runs from 6:30 till about 9pm every Saturday in Gillingham Masjid.     We focus on youths from about 15 years old to 25-year-olds. We find that this age range are the most neglected but yet most impressionable. As once they leave madrassa, their connection to the mosque reduces drastically, and so can drift to where their environment takes them.

Our aims of the Youth Hubb is to instil.

• Brotherhood

• love for the mosque

• Discipline

• A positive experience to attach their hearts to the mosque.

• An Islamic environment

• A support structure as they transition from young adult to maturity.

We have been doing this though short Islamic reminders by Imam Irfan, we have 3 a side football, table tennis, boxing training from experienced trainers, interactive games and at the end of the evening we sit down and eat pizza together, and a special treat once a month we have some amazing home cooked food.

I encourage everyone with sons from 15 to 25 year old to spend more time with Muslims of their age.

He is teacher/ustad to many scholars around the world. He is the son of Sheikhul Hadith Molana Fadlur Rahman Azmi (DB).

We are very fortunate to have Mufti Sahib in our masjid. Please make effort to attend after Zuhr today at 1.30.

Ladies can come upstairs.

Eid ul Fitr will be on Friday 21st April

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wo barakatuhu.

The blessed month of Ramadan has swiftly passed, leaving behind cherished memories and spiritual growth. As we bid farewell with a heavy heart, we also embrace the joy and festivity of Eid, celebrating the unity and blessings it brings.

There will be four Jamaat in Gillingham Masjid.
7am, 8am, 9am, 10am

It is anticipated that a short Bayaan will take place beforehand, and then the Salaat at the above times followed by the Khutba.

The Masjid will be very busy so please help us by arriving in good time and assisting with making space for as many worshippers as possible.

There is only limited space for ladies in each Jamaat and so again arrive on time to avoid disappointment.

Please park sensibly and allow plenty of time for finding a space. Do not block residents in their driveways and bear in mind that the traffic wardens will be out in force.
